Alberta Environment and Park’s Environmental Site Assessment Repository (ESAR) system provides immediate free access to information on sites in Alberta where environmental assessments have been completed. ESAR integrates linkages with Land Titles data and mapping functions allowing users to enter criteria required for searching properties of interest in the ATS (MER-RGE-TWP-SEC-[QTR]-[LSD]) and PBL (PLAN-BLOCK-LOT) format.

About the public information you want to access    - Help -

1. To request scientific/technical information relating to the environmental condition of a site, please complete this form and submit it online. Your credit card will be charged a $25.00 processing fee.

Scientific/technical information may include reports documenting the nature and extent of soil, ground and surface water contamination, remedial measures taken to clean-up the site or status of the site; and external correspondence between the submitter and the Department of Environment and Parks pertaining to the reports.

2. If records or information identified as public are available for purchase through an external agency, you will be directed to that agency to obtain copies.

3. Records not available under Routine Disclosure legislation can be requested under the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act.
